New Employee Resources
California Code of Regulations Title 8, Section 3203 (a) (7) requires employers to provide new employees with environmental health and safety (EH&S) training on workplace procedures, processes, equipment, and hazards before they start work. New employee orientation and safety training is included in each member district’s IIPP. The OSHA Office of Statistics reports that 40% of employees injured at work have been on the job less than 1 year. New hires need to be made aware of district safety culture and expectations from the start. This page contains resources for member districts to consider including in their new employee health and safety orientations.
